There are a couple of reasons behind my motivation to jot down my thoughts.
Focusing
For one, I tend to ask myself many distracting questions while working on different tasks. Instead of having to decide whether to entertain the thought at the cost of losing focus—what we like to call distractions—or toss away the curiosities, I’m making an effort to revisit them later and then write about them in the hope that this will reduce the noisy questions in my head.
This is more useful than discarding these thoughts because I often use my Higher Being form when generating these questions.
Recall
Ideally, I wouldn’t forget answers and knowledge I deem important. However, even if that were the case, sometimes we don’t know what’s important before finding out the answer to the questions we’re asking. I want to answer each question once, ideally. Once I have the answer to that question, I don’t want to search for it again. With enough content, integrating an LLM could enhance the search feature and provide distilled answers to recurring questions I forget the answer and importance of.
Finally, no one can deny the romantic flair of writing.
